JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a reliable Process Engineer with experience in rubber molding processes and process optimization who will help us with the process design, operation and implementation. Your duties will include improving industrial processes, maximizing profitability, reducing costs and maintaining efficiency. This role requires the candidate to have at least 5 years of rubber manufacturing experience. The candidate will provide support to the Plant Manager with the transfer of work and equipment from our Fort-Worth location to our Spring, TX location. This role requires extensive traveling to Fort-Worth for the first 5 months as we transfer our facility to Spring, Texas. If you live in Fort Worth and you are interested in this role, you will need to be open to relocating to Spring, Texas in February 2025.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for continuous improvement in our new facility, by analyzing data to develop optimal workflows and processes.
  • Develop training materials for set-up technicians, train operators in standard work methods
  • Working knowledge of rubber extrusion, compression and injection molding.
  • Supports plant management with capital project proposals and manages installation of new equipment.
  • Work with internal teams to resolve problems and map out processes
  • Assist Sales with technical support to facilitate new business development.
  • Implement innovative solutions and best practices to improve production rates and quality of output.
  • Evaluate risk and develop countermeasures
  • Able to travel to other manufacturing plants within the US and other countries.
  • Assist management team with sustainability goals and reporting.

Skills and qualifications:

  • Excellent leadership skills, including the abilities to set goals, motivate and manage conflict.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to convey information accurately to all levels and practice active listening.
  • Familiar with APQP, MSA, SPC, FMEA and ISO 9001 Standards
  • Physical strength, stamina and the ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to travel within Texas and Internationally
  • Must be able to travel to Fort Worth, Texas.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor of Engineering
  • 5 years with rubber compounding and rubber molding
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Leading projects from conception to fruition
  • Ability to speak Spanish helpful but not required.
